In our ongoing efforts to effect reliable and validated information, we've created the Antifa Atlas. It will definitely grow, but there's enough here to make it public, so here we go!

Hey there, everyone, your obedient world-dominating head of the Evil Militant Radical Leftist Antifa John Henry here to tell you about the latest information project here at Antifa HQ, the Antifa Atlas!

The Antifa Atlas is a collection of databases related to antifascist activism, ideology, philosophy, history, and action. At the time of this writing in late 2025, we’ve got a few historical figures, a few quote memes – this whole thing started of as me trying to make it easy to create and manage valid and accurate antifascist memes for you good folks to spread around – and the first entry in the Antifa Book Club present and accounted for, and there is much more to come.

This isn’t just fluff stuff; we – and in this case “we” means “I,” John Henry, your host and present writer – have worked diligently to ensure everything we’re doing is 100% validated and sourced, down to putting our eyes on it in the sources ourselves in cases where we hadn’t done so previously. “Commonly attributed” isn’t cutting it for quotes, for instance – “lots of people on Goodreads say that The Person said This Thing” doesn’t mean any such thing happened.

If I can’t cite a primary source – an objectively observed instance of the alleged source of the quote actually saying or writing the quoted passage – then I’m not making a meme out of it. I managed to burn myself that way on the first run of memes for this site, of which I ended up having to delete several when I started trying to track down proper attributions for them, because I got in a hurry and got lazy with my research, so that’s not going to happen a second time; everything gets sourced or it’s not a quote. The same goes for any other sort of biographical or historical information presented as such; if it’s not validated and sourced, it’s not biographical or historical but speculative at best and should be presented that way no matter how convincing it may be.

Over time we’re going to expand this out to feature things like historical events, organizations…it’s an open-ended thing, and intended to be a canonical information source. That said, it’s not publicly edited or crowdsourced anymore than I’m “anonymous” or “unknown” or “not an ‘Antifa Leader.'” We make a consciousdecision to reject those approaches here, for the sake of having an established body of meaningful information to counter the endless lies and manipulation of public opinion related to “antifa” and “antifascism.” The Atlas is part of that.

As of the official launch today, November 19th 2025, we have about fifteen “figures” and two dozen “quotes” already stocked. Some of the quotes have already been posted as memes; none of the figure pages have. Figure pages will be scheduled to post on the figure’s birthday or related holiday or other key event whenever possible. We’re striving to repeat meme posts no more than twice annually; ideally we won’t repeat most of them at all, save perhaps for the very best known quotes of our various quoted figures. We’re also trying super hard to avoid repeating quote sources too frequently. Thus our path foward:

Today, we’re posting this announcement, mostly because we’re excited about this new tool and wanted to give you a chance to get a good look at it for yourselves! Next, we’re going to start loading the auto-poster with current content, starting with the “birthday” posts for each figure, and an accompanying meme for that day, as well as scheduling daily drops for the rest of the quote memes we’ve already created. After that, it’s time to create more, and I think I’m going to save the details of that process for a livestream or video drop sometime soon.

A lot of work went into this and will continue to go into it. The entire point of the thing is to make it easier for me to transmit the information I know, to you, and help you wrap your heads around it and hold it in meaningful reference to the fight against fascism, in whatever capacity that information might function. I’ve also spent considerable time crafting an agile and responsive back-end so that I can quickly turn anything I come across that strikes me as worthwhile into a proper bit of antifascist praxist complete with meme, sourcing, and initial distribution, in a matter of an hour or less, and you’ll certainly be seeing the results of that over the near and far future as well.

We’re proud and happy to bring you this new tool, and we’re looking forward to even more in the future so be sure you stay tuned via our social media platforms and the website.
